Obituary for David Wilson

David Wilson, age 83, passed away on February 16, 2018. He was born in 1934 in Detroit, Michigan to David and Johanna Wilson. He served in the U.S Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was a member of the Teamsters, worked for Michigan Hydrant & Valve and Waste Management and after retiring worked part time driving cars for Avis until age 80. A long time resident of Brownstown, Michigan he moved to Stamford, CT in 2015. He enjoyed racehorses, loved playing cards especially Euchre and Pinnocle, with friends, and playing the slot machines. He enjoyed watching baseball, golf, game shows, Shark Tank and westerns as well as his granddaughters’ sports events. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, jokes, quick wit and thoughtfulness. He never forgot a birthday or showed up to a party empty handed.

Predeceased by his parents, brother Clarence and sister Helen Pieler, David is survived by his daughter Beth Wilson-Jordan of Stamford, CT, son-in-law Lawrence, granddaughters Alexandra, Mackenzie and Stephanie Jordan, his daughter Stephanie Wilson of Boise, Idaho, granddaughters Meredith Syphus and Erika McDaniel and four great grandchildren Ayden Nye, Keston, Emerson and Aria Syphus as well as several nieces and nephews.
