Vincenza Paola  Inzitari (Pensiero)
Vincenza Paola Inzitari, 95, a longtime resident of Stamford passed away peacefully on December 23, 2017 with her family by her side. Vincenza was born on January 26, 1922 in Santa Maria Infante, Minturno, Italy, the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Antonia Tarantino Pensiero.

Vincenza is survived by her loving children, daughter Mary Cardillo and her husband Mario, and her son Frank Inzitari, all of Stamford. Her four cherished granddaughters, Dr. Serena Cardillo and her husband Dr. Vincent Lo Re III, Daina Leigh and her husband Renato Basile, Jr., Kelly Ann Elizabeth Inzitari, and Traci Marie Inzitari. She is also survived by her four adored great-grandchildren Sophia, Siena, Leah, and Giada, along with many nieces and nephews in Stamford and Italy.

Vincenza immigrated to Stamford in 1951 and was employed for more than 30 years, first at Artistic Ribbons and then Clairol Inc. Since her retirement in 1984 she enjoyed cooking and took pride in her summer garden. Vincenza especially cherished her time with her family and was blessed to be cared for by her youngest granddaughter Traci in her final years, who was also her best friend.

Besides her parents, Vincenza is predeceased by her beloved husband Francis C. Inzitari and her brothers Arnaldo, Francesco, and Flaminio Pensiero, along with her sisters Maria Zinicola, and Elda Pensiero.

Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, CT on Wednesday, December 27th, 2017 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM. A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 9:40AM and proceed for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00AM at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Ave., Stamford, CT. Entombment will follow at St. John’s RC Mausoleum in Darien, CT.
