Obituary for Marjorie Williams

Marjorie Williams, 87, a lifelong resident of Stamford, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Stamford Hospital. Margie born in Stamford on January 8, 1930, daughter to the late Harry and Margaret E. Hatterman Williams.
Margie graduated Stamford High School Class of 1947. She began her long career first working for AMF as an executive secretary and later for Caldors. Margie had a love of sports and greatly enjoyed playing tennis, she was also an avid skier and golfer.
Margie is survived by her loving nephew Joe Laws of Stamford and her niece Diane Leferube of Torrington. She is also survived by her life-long friend Siri Lynn and her husband Edward of Stamford, their children, Siri Lynn and Craig of Fairfield, Dane and Eleanor Lynn of Easton and their children, Cameron and Sierra. Her friends were considered family; she loved them like her own nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
Besides her parents Margie is predeceased by a brother Raymond Williams, and her sister Shirley Laws and brother-in-law Leslie L. Laws.
A graveside service will be held on Monday September 18, 2017 at 11:00AM at Long Ridge Union Cemetery, Erskine Rd., Stamford, CT.
