Catherine M. Dolan, 90, a lifelong resident of Stamford passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, July 11, 2017. She was born in Stamford on September 16, 1926 to the late Dominick and Mary Arcano Fuda.
Catherine was a medical records supervisor at Stamford Hospital for forty years before her retirement in 1991. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother and for over thirty years enjoyed getting her family together every Friday night for dinner.
She is survived by her loving children, Karen Dolan and her husband Jim Murphy, Ken Dolan and his wife Maryanne, Mark Dolan and his wife Kathy, Jeff Dolan and his wife Mary, all of Stamford, as well as three granddaughters, Lisa Grande, Beth Dolan and Krista Mondschein and four grandsons, Mike Ely, Keith, Tom and Steve Dolan. Also surviving are four great grandchildren, Madeline and Francesca Mondschein, Robby and Joey Grande.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Thomas J. Dolan, a sister Josephine Kubanis and six brothers, Louis, Stephen, Frank, Alfred, Joseph and Albert Fuda.
A funeral procession will be leaving the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 9:15 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM at Church of St. Cecilia, 1184 Newfield Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at Long Ridge Union Cemetery, Erskine Road, Stamford. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, July 14, 2017 from 4:00-8:00 PM.
