John F. “Jack” Cappiello Jr., a former Connecticut resident who lived in St. Croix for 27 years, died June 15 in Stamford Hospital after a brief illness. He was 75.

Born July 29, 1941, in Stamford, CT, he attended Stamford public schools. He lived for many years in Norwalk and Fairfield, CT, where he owned and operated several small businesses.

He moved to Christiansted, St. Croix, United States Virgin Islands, in 1990, where he owned and operated Teague Bay Properties. He was a member of the St. Croix Board of Realtors.

His sunny disposition matched the sunshine on his beloved island of St. Croix, and he will be missed by many.

He was predeceased by his parents, John F. and Anna Cappiello.

He is survived by a brother, James Cappiello of Norwalk, CT, and a sister, Lorraine Esposito of Stamford, CT; three children, Janet Lynn Cappiello of Bardstown, KY, Beverly Cappiello Foster of Stamford, CT, and John F. Cappiello III of Philadelphia, PA.; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services were private.
