George W. Biolsi, 70, of Stamford passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, January 6, 2017 at Stamford Hospital. He was born in The Bronx, NY on October 9, 1946 to the late George and Winifred Cunningham Biolsi.
George retired from the CIA after 33 years of service. He was a true family man and a man of great faith. He loved spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, siblings and their families, whom he adored.
He is survived by his devoted wife of forty one years, Jung-Ae Kang Biolsi of Stamford, his beloved children Daniel Biolsi and his wife Karen of Darien, June Mulryan and her husband Louis of Briarwood, NY, Sue Biolsi of Brooklyn, NY and six brothers James Biolsi of Edison, NJ, Bill Biolsi of Brewster, NY, Gerard Biolsi of Brookfield, CT, Joe Biolsi of Altadena, CA, Bob Biolsi of Wappingers Falls, NY and Pete Biolsi of New Windsor, NY and two sisters Mary Strnatko of Carmel, NY and Anne Marie Mastri of Mahopac, NY, as well as his grandchildren George, Evelyn, Russell, Luke and Jake.
Besides his parents, George was predeceased by his brother Tom Biolsi.
A funeral procession will be leaving the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at 9:30 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM at St. Leo’s Parish, 24 Roxbury Road, Stamford. Interment will follow at St. Raymond’s Cemetery, Bronx, NY. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, January 9, 2017 from 4:00-8:00 PM.
