Pasquale Megale, 91, of Stamford passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Stamford Hospital. He was born in Arena, Italy on October 4, 1925 to the late Francesco and Grazia Indone Megale.
Pasquale was a carpenter with various companies throughout his life and was a member of the Local 210 of CT Carpenters Union. He was an avid gardener and liked taking walks at the beach. But most of all, he loved the time he spent with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving daughter Grace Fratello and her husband Michael of Greenwich ,his loving sons Frank P. Megale of Stamford, Vincent Megale and his wife Cindy of Stamford, Joseph Megale and his wife Loren of Trumbull, as well as his grandchildren Steven, Jessica, Michael, Gabrielle, Katelyn and Joseph, Jr.
Besides his parents, Pasquale was predeceased by his wife Mariantonia Greco Megale, his sisters Rosaria Stramandinoli, Caterina Giamba and his brother Giuseppe Megale.
Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Monday, January 9, 2017 from 8:30-9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30 AM at St. Mary’s RC Church,566 Elm Street, Stamford. Interment will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, Hecker Avenue, Darien.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Pasquale’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
