Ann  Vaccaro
Ann Vaccaro, 93, of Stamford passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Stamford Hospital. She was born in Coatesville, PA on January 29, 1921 to the late Thomas and Maria Umile.
Ann was an employee for the City of Stamford, Public School System,and also an employee of AT&T and Bloomingdales.
She is survived by her loving children, Rosemarie Vaccaro, Nicholas J. Vaccaro and his wife Janet, LuAnn Moccia and her husband Anthony, all of Stamford, a sister Dolly Umile of Coatesville, PA, six grandchildren, Wendy Vaccaro, Anthony and Thomas Moccia, Benjamin Vaccaro and his wife Christine, Samuel and Peter Vaccaro. Also surviving are two great grandchildren Nicholas and Isabella Vaccaro.
Besides her parents, Ann was predeceased by her beloved husband Nicholas Vaccaro, her brothers Benjamin, Peter, Alfred and Ernest Umile and sisters Edith Umile and Yolanda Sagnor.
A funeral procession will be leaving the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at 9:15 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM at St. Leo’s Parish, 24 Roxbury Road, Stamford. Entombment will follow at St. John’s Mausoleum, Darien. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, (Today) January 20, 2015 from 5:00-8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Ann’s memory to Jewish Family Service of Stamford, 733 Summer Street, Stamford, CT 06901
