Ernst O. Buggisch, 92, of Murrells Inlet, SC formerly of Stamford passed away peacefully on October 17, 2014. Ernst was born in Wismar, Germany on June 17, 1922 to the late Hans and Margarete Pintus Buggisch. Ernst was the owner of Atlantic Market in Stamford for 37 years.
Ernst is survived by his wife Lilly Suter Buggisch, his son Ernst Hans and wife Brenda Buggisch, his daughter Lorraine Jarrett and her husband Gerald, his stepson Glen Vivian and wife Aimee, his sister-in-law Elsa Buggisch of Germany, his grandchildren; Melissa Evans and her husband Robert. Gregory Buggisch, Daniel Jarrett and his wife Laurie, Susan Malysa and her husband John, Douglas Jarrett and his wife Rachel, Jennifer Uhrlass and her husband Larry, and Chase and Rachel Vivian. His thirteen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews also survive.
Besides his parents, Ernst is predeceased by his first wife Antoinette Longo Buggisch his brothers; Hans Jurgen and Kurt Buggisch and his sister Hanna Marie Langenohl.
Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT on Friday October 24, 2014 from 4:00 to 8:00PM. A service will take place at the funeral on Saturday October 25, 2014 at 10:00AM. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace RC Cemetery, Rockrimmon Road, Stamford.
