Rita Masanotti, 90, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, April 10 ,2021. Rita was born in North Haven, CT on March 25, 1931, daughter for the late Hermann and Barbara Konrad Ohmes.
Rita is survived by her loving sons, John Masanotti, Jr. and his wife Mary Ferrara of Darien, Thomas Masanotti of Bridgeport and Michael Masanotti of Trumbull. A sister Theresa Baksa of Wallingford. Also surviving are her cherished grandchildren, Lindsay, Liza, Robbie, Gina, and five great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Rita was predeceased by her beloved husband John Masanotti, and her three sisters, Mary Wright, Margaret Ohmes and Klara Ohmes.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Rita’s caregivers, Carleen Salmon and Patty Masanotti.
A graveside service with committal prayers will be held on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 11:00AM at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 1056 Daniels Farm Rd., Trumbull, CT 06611.
