Obituary for John M. Sadlon Jr.

John M. Sadlon, Jr., a beloved son, brother, father and friend, passed away surrounded by his family following a brief illness at Yale New Haven Hospital on the evening of Sunday, February 28, 2021. A resident of Guilford, CT, John was born in Stamford to John, Sr. (Jack) and Carol (Zboray) Sadlon. He was 54 years old at the time of his passing.

John attended Stamford Public schools, graduating from J.M. Wright Technical School, Class of 1984. He then went on to graduate from Central Connecticut State University. He was employed at CCM/CIRMA as a financial analyst in New Haven. John had a deep love of family and cherished the time they would spend together, especially with his children. He was a caring neighbor and friend and always there to help. John was an avid sports enthusiast and an unwavering fan of the NY Mets and NY Giants. John was a loving son and best friend to his father.

John is survived by his parents, Jack and Carol Sadlon; former wife Tracy and their children Aaron and Ana; his significant other Vicki Stackpole and her son Connor; sisters Christine Bray and husband Alan of Brookfield, CT, Melissa Walko and husband David of Cos Cob, CT and many nieces and nephews and extended family.

Friends and family may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford from 9am to 10:30am the morning of Saturday, March 6, 2021. Following visitation, a worship service will begin promptly at 10:30am with Rev. Jack Breznen officiating. The interment will be held immediately after at Greenwood Union Cemetery in Rye, NY.

The worship service will also be livestreamed via Zoom. The stream will begin on Saturday, March 6th at 10am.
