She graduated Sacred Heart High School in Pittsburgh and earned her B.A. at the University of Connecticut. Carolyn very much enjoyed involvement in the community, doing volunteer work at the Smith House, the Sisters of Life at Villa Maria Guadalupe Retreat Centre, Pro Arte Singers and serving on the Board Directors of the Stamford Historical Society.
