Obituary for Samir Maurice Farsun

Samir Maurice Farsun, 80, of Stamford , USA, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, August 10, 2020. He was born in Haifa, Palestine on March 24, 1940 to the late Maurice Ayoub Farsoun and Wassime Habib Sahyoun.
Samir was raised in Beirut and was fiercely proud of his heritage. He moved to the United States in the late 1960s arriving in New York City, where he met his former wife, Halina. They married and moved to Weston, CT shortly before they welcomed their first child. Samir spent his professional career working in the steel industry in sales. He was known for his hospitality, generosity, and hard-working demeanor. He was always ready to welcome family, friends, and strangers around the table to enjoy his Middle Eastern cooking.

He is survived by his daughters, Natalya Farsun of Denver, CO and Alexandra (Farsun) Dembishack and her husband John of Weston, CT, as well as his former wife, Halina Farsun of Sarasota, FL, a sister, Siham Halabi and brother, Mounir Farsoun and his wife Aida, both of Beirut, Lebanon. Also surviving are his two grandchildren, and three nieces and two nephews.

Funeral services will be held privately.
