Colleen Mae Sentementes, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home on the morning of Friday, November 15, 2019 with her loving family by her side. She was born in Stamford on May 22, 1931, and was one of 5 children born to the late John Francis and Minnie (Lyons) Gorman. Colleen was 88 years old at the time of her passing.

Colleen was born and raised in Stamford. She graduated from the Stamford Hospital School of Nursing and enjoyed a career as a Registered Nurse for over 40 years.

Colleen is survived by her children, Laura, Jill and George; grandchildren, Lynn, Michael, Jackie and Samantha; great grandchildren, Ian, Lizzy, Teddy, Lily and Rebecca, and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

In addition to her parents, Colleen was preceded in death by her husband, George Sentementes and siblings, Hellen Kahler, Molly Dombrowski, Katherine Jones and Jack Gorman.

In keeping with Colleen’s wishes, services will be private.
