Peter Thorne Guerrlich, 53, of Redding and formerly of Stamford passed away suddenly in a work related accident. He was born in Stamford on September 20, 1965 to Alice Stadel Guerrlich and the late John P. Guerrlich.
Besides his mother Alice Stadel Guerrlich, Peter is also survived by his siblings Alice J. Chapell and her husband Rob, John T. Guerrlich and his wife Robin Rachford, Anne Napolitano and her husband Rick and Mary Ellen Guerrlich. He is also survived by many aunts and uncles, eight nieces and nephews, four great nieces and nephews and several cousins, as well as his loving girlfriend Kathryn “Kat” Stergue and his beloved dog Blue.
A funeral procession will be leaving the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 9:30 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM at St. Gabriel RC Church, 914 Newfield Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx, NY. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, November 30, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Peter’s memory to an Animal Charity of one’s choice.
