Angelina “Affie” M. Caggainello, 95, a lifelong resident of Stamford passed away peacefully on Friday, September 29, 2017. Angelina was born in Stamford on July 29, 1922 daughter to the late Nicholas and Mary Sabia Caggainello.
Affie was a former employee of Pitney Bowes, she retired in 1987 after 20 plus years of service. Affie loved to travel with friends and family, especially on the yearly Pitney Bowes trips. Affie took great joy in singing, and she grasped at any opportunity to share her voice, she was very talented.
Angelina is survived by her nieces and nephews. Besides her parents Angelina is predeceased by her four sisters Rose Stagnetti, Carmella DeCarlo, Margaret Giglio, and Theresa DeCarlo. She was also predeceased by her three brothers, Lawrence, Daniel and James Caggainello.
Friends and family may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, CT., on the morning of Tuesday, October 3rd, from 10:00AM-11:00AM. A prayer service will follow the visitation in the funeral home at 11:00AM, a procession will then leave the funeral home for interment at Queen of Peace Cemetery, Stamford.
