Obituary for Milio M. Nicolini

Milio M. Nicolini, 92, a lifelong resident of Stamford passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, September 11, 2017. He was born in Stamford on May 1, 1925 to the late Michael and Caterina Catanzaro Nicolini.
Milio was a graduate of Stamford High School and a WW II veteran, having served in the US army Core of Engineers, where he was stationed in India. Milio was a Truck Driver with several construction companies and was a member of the Local Teamsters Union for many years.
He is survived by his three loving sons, Victor Nicolini of Stamford, Daniel Nicolini of Stamford and Michael Nicolini and his wife Janet of Madison, CT, as well as his former wife, Carolyn Nicolini, his niece, Clara Grande and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Milio was predeceased by his sister, Helen Interlandi.
Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 from 4:00-8:00 PM. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at 10:30 AM with Fr. Alfred Riendeau officiating. Interment will follow at St. John’s RC Cemetery, Darien.
