Pasquale  G.I.   Loglisci
Pasquale “G.I.” Loglisci, 90, a lifelong resident of Stamford, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday September 6, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Pat was born in Stamford on September 1, 1927 to the late Joseph and Mary Condito Loglisci.
G.I. owned the Cove Barbershop from 1958 to 1965, then worked for the City of Stamford as a Highway Supervisor from 1960 to 1996, before retiring. In retirement he worked at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory as a funeral assistant and hearse driver from 1997 to 2006. G.I. had a profound love and devotion for his family. He was an avid John Wayne fan, loved spending time outdoors and especially enjoyed going on cruise vacations. G.I. was also a longtime member of the Gravinese Mutual Aid Society.
Pat is survived by his loving wife Jennie Cassone Loglisci of Stamford, his sons, Joseph Loglisci and his wife Bonnie of Southbury and Pat Loglisci and his wife Maira of Monroe, his stepson John Addorisio and his wife Lisa of Port Chester, NY, his sister Lucille Tomczyk of Stamford, and a sister-in-law Helen Loglisci of Stamford. Seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Besides his parents, Pat is predeceased by his first wife Mary Ann Colletto Loglisci, his brother Joseph Loglisci, his sister Marie Interlandi, his brother Nicholas Loglisci and his step-daughter Lorraine Addorisio.
A funeral procession will leave the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 9:40AM and proceed to Sacred Heart RC Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:30AM, with Military Honors. Entombment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Rye Brook, NY. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, September 8, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00PM.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in G.I.’s memory to the Vitas Healthcare 488 Main Ave., Norwalk, CT 06850, or Sacred Heart RC Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902.
