Condolence From: Stephanie Dahl
Condolence: What a terrible terrible loss. I was Chris's writing teacher at Westhill years ago, and he was one of my most talented, favorite students. I still have the book he wrote as a tribute to his cousin, Allyson Rioux, and still marvel at the journalistic skills and sensitivity that enabled such a young man to produce such a work. No doubt Chis had yet many more achievements ahead of him. With deepest sympathy to his wife and family. Stephanie Dahl.

Condolence From: James F Stuart
Condolence: Michele, Jim, and Family. It was a pleasure to watch him grow up and see him mature and develop into a mature kind adult who still had a kid's enthusiasm for his beloved baseball . He will be missed by many . I enjoyed working for him and hearing about his Life and pets . His loss is a loss for the Stamford community. I last saw him a short time ago and he seemed happy . He will live on in our memories May he rest in peace as he is now with the Supreme Umpire who called him out of this world.

Condolence From: Sandra Durso Passero
Condolence: Dear Michelle and Jimmy, I am truly sorry for your great loss. No parent should have to go through this. I can't conceive what you are going through. My heart is broken. I remember when Michelle came to my arpartment on Virgil Street. She was very emotional and hormonal. I hope my words helped you then. When I think of Chris, i remembet his smile. Even as a young child, he had a wonderful smile. Always happy. That's how I will remember him. I am glad he knew the wonder of being a parent even for a short time. I believe when you look at his son, you will see Chris's smile. I love you both, my dear friend. Love, Sandy

Condolence From: Joe Claps
Condolence: We literally grew up playing baseball together and then we were fortunate to have coached together at King and for Stamford Legion. What you did for Stamford baseball players in reorganizing, establishing and perfectly running the legion program will last a lifetime. The amount of kids receiving baseball scholarships has skyrocketed because of your incredible efforts to bring the most competitive level of play to our great town, and you did so in the face of great adversity. You had my back 1000% when I had to make tough decisions for the prep program. You never wavered in your support. I can't help but be angry that you're gone, but I take comfort in knowing that your legacy will live forever. What you accomplished in 39 short years is truly remarkable. If I'm ever in a position to help your wife or son I will do so with the same level of commitment you gave to me. I'll miss my teammate, colleague and friend. God bless your family!

Condolence From: Don Rickenback
Condolence: My heart breaks for the Sabia-Colatrella families, for a new mother and young child and for all the many people touched by Chris' goodness in the too short time he spent with us all. It is impossible for me to know the depth of loss and heartbreak felt, the emptiness left behind. But I do know through the loss I experienced when my dad died, that memories and very real feelings, a certain light sparkling off the water, a dumb joke repeated...these and so much more lighten my heart, bring a smile to my lips and even bring a laugh out loud. This fine man will remain in our hearts, even as they break, and he will live on through the way he changed us all. God bless him and keep him, and watch over and dry the tears of his loved ones. With sorrow and love, Mr. Rick

Condolence From: Zach Mulhern
Condolence: Coach Sabia was one of my favorite baseball coaches I've ever had. He was challenging, hard nosed, and humorous. Always let us play with a smile and as a player you never wanted to let him down. He believed in me as a person and I will never forget that. I'm so sorry for your loss, and I wish I was in the state of CT to come show my condolences. He will be missed, but never forgotten.
