Obituary for Christopher Michael Sabia

Christopher Michael  Sabia
Christopher Michael Sabia, 39, a lifelong resident of Stamford passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, July 14, 2017. He was born in Stamford on February 10, 1978 to James A. and Michele A. Colatrella Sabia.
Christopher was a sales representative for Connecticut Distributors Incorporated. He attended Stamford Public Schools graduating from Westhill High School in 1996. Christopher’s commitment to his hometown was best exemplified in his tireless dedication to building a strong Stamford Legion Baseball program. He lived his life with courage, strength and tenacity. His generous spirit touched the lives of many.
He is survived by his loving wife, Emma K. Hardy Sabia and their son CJ Sabia of Stamford, as well as his canine companion, Geno. Besides his parents, James A. and Michele A. Colatrella Sabia of Stamford, he is also survived by his sister Elizabeth Labrosciano and her husband Andre and nephew William, his maternal grandmother, Kathryne Colatrella, his father in law, Donald Hardy and mother in law Natalie Hardy both of MA. Also surviving are his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 from 4:00-8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart RC Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Everyone is kindly asked to go directly to the Church. Interment will be private.
